This one-hour webinar will be conducted in Arabic on October 12, 2021.

The objective of this webinar will be to discuss and refine the findings of Trust’s research on Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) challenges in insecure contexts, with a particular focus on Syria as a case study.

This webinar will be conducted online via Zoom, and a link will be emailed to participants 24 hours before the training begins at the latest (11 October, 2021).

About the Speaker

Sarah Moharram

Sarah is currently a TPM consultant and Research Manager at Trust. She has significantexperience conducting third-party monitoring & evaluation, including managing and conducting needs assessments, third party monitoring, and midterm and final evaluation of humanitarian projects in conflict areas, particularly in Syria. Sarah is also well experienced in local development and community engagement, having conducted several consultancies in Timor-Leste and worked with a number of NGOs and on advocacy campaigns in Egypt.

During this webinar, you will:

  1. Discuss the main challenges faced by contracting agencies, TPM providers and field monitors working in insecure contexts while conducting TPM activities.
  2. Identify potential risk transfer from contracting agencies to TPM providers to field monitors.
  3. Explore good practices about the prevention and mitigation of security challenges.

Target audience:

This webinar is aimed at:

  • NGO program & MEAL staff,
  • IP program & MEAL staff,
  • Donor staff,
  • TPM agencies,
  • M&E consultants.

This webinar aims for the following:

  • Gender equality in terms of those participating in the training, (50% of participants will be men and 50% will be women);
  • Participants will be from different organizations;
  • Participants will be from different countries;
  • Participants will have experience in different sectors;
  • Participants with disabilities are most welcome.
